Some 18th months later Mary elizabeth oakes Mann married John Clarke and it appears
she left her baby daughter Evelyn annie behind to be raised by the grandparents as Evelyn retained the Mann
surname.
In the WILL of Evelyn's Grandmother, Harriet, Evelyn is the only Grandchild
to be a benificiary!
As both families seem to be living in the Newton / Karagahape Rd area
perhapes local school records will reveal some clues.
