ELIZABETH SWIFT, housekeeper and Beneficiary

In 1907 the Widow Elizabeth Swift nee Wilson inherited a large proportion of William Richardson's estate having been his housekeeper for some 20 years.

On 1st September 1866 a Julius Swift was charged in Leeds with aiding an Elizabeth Armitage of steeling 20 yards of Capel and a silk Dress.
he pleaded not guilty, on Bail 2 surities, Discharge 1867


Elizabeth Wilson married at St Peters, Leeds junqt1867 to the Widower
Julius ceasar agricola Swift, who was previously married 1859 Scarborough to Elizabeth Daggitt who died in Scaborough junqt1866. aged 27

She has been allowed to bring her son Arthur with her, her daughter Ada aged 16 is a domestic servant in the 1891 census, visiting friends, so we dont know if Ada was living with the Richardsons or elsewhere.

Julius Caesar Swift, printer of Sydney Terrace, Londesborough St.
who died of pleurisy on the 19th December 1887 was buried General Cemetery,
Compartment 139, Grave 20085, in HGC.
Also buried in the same grave is his widow, Elizabeth, who died 1925, of senile decay.
