A Bridlington Wedding
PARKIN - CROMPTON
September 20th, at Emmanuel Church, Bridlington, by the Rev. A.E. Wittenbury-Kaye
Arthur Mervyn Parkin M. Met. son of the late Dr. Alfred Parkin of Hull aand Bridlington, and Mrs Parkin of Carnaby Challet, Bridlington, to
Katherine younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Crompton of Cardigigan Road, Bridlington . The bride who was given away by her father wore a dress of white satin and lace over pink crepe-de-chine and a veil with orange blossom. There were two bridemaids Miss Crompton (cousin of the bride) and Miss Eileen Richardson who were attired in Blue Georgette with Black Hats,
The Best man was Mr. H. Parkin, the bridgroom's cousin.
Mr. and Mrs. Parkin will reside at Sheffield.

TODAY'S WEDDING AT BRIDLINGTON FROM OUR OWN REPORTER)
Only son of the late Dr Parkin, former well-known Hull medico, Arthur Parkin, of Sheffield, whose mother lives at Carnaby Cardigan-road, Bridlington, was married Emmanuel Church. Bridlington this (Tuesday) morning to Miss Katherine Crompton, daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas Crompton. also of Cardigan-road, Bridlington.
The ceremony was performed by Rev E Whittenbury Kaye, and post Hill played appropriate bridal music at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a gown white satin and lace over crepe-de-Chino with white veil and orange blossom, and carried sheath of lilies and carnations. She was tended bridesmaids by Miss Eileen Richardson, of Bridlington (friend) and Miss Leila [Wright Crompton] of Wakefield (cousin), who wore dresses of pale blue georgette with black hats to match, and [...]of yellow roses. Henry Parkin, of Rotherham (cousin of the bridegroom) acted best man. The subsequent reception was held at Taylor's Cafe and
The honeymoon will take the form of a motoring tour, after which Mr and Mrs Parkin will take residence in Sheffield.

PARKIN; On March 21st, aged 87 Mr. Arthur Mervyn Parkin of(8im? Elm?) Road Driffield, East Yorks, (lately of Totley Rise, Sheffield). Dearly loved husband of the late Kitty, dear father of Alec and Roger, In-laws Beryl and Joyce, loving grandfather of David, Catherine, Sally, and Rachael.
Cremation to take place at Scarborough Cremetorium on Friuday at 2:30pm.
Family Flowers only. Donation in Lieu to Wandsford Parish Church.
