Known as 'POIRANGA", Walter married a Mini Wesney? (or Wisneski)* widow of J.J Pettit.

Mr Boylan, age 57, Publican,

died  at Omarumutu, Opotiki

03/11/1888 &  buried 05/11/1888.

They had 2 children.

Mini Retena Witene(welesly)
(daughter of Tonia & Huriata Kauwera) 
great grand daughter of Paramount Chief Te kariki Aporo Aperaniko of Waikareamoana.

Married 1st
John joseph Pettit/Petete 
who had a son Thomas 
(from previous marriage? mini was too young) born 1850 died 1900

John joseph died at Opotiki in 1880

Mini then Married Walter  abt 1885?
Walter's death  in november 1888 at Omarumutu
left Mini with 2 very young children.

Mini married for a third time 
to Makau.

BMD records show a Makau died in 1931 aged 110; dont know if they are related.
