A guide to Strathspey" sixth edition, published in 1910.
Although William senior has died the previous year,
it is still Wm. Glass & son
William (jnr) was married but had no family and died after the second war. He was a great Baptist and played the organ.
Local rumour was his servant having an illegitamare child and he was reputed to be the father.

He sold the shop to McGillivrays in the twenties and in 1928 he built a house further out of town which he named Revoan. This house still bears the same name but is now a guest house.

Revoan

In retirment he became the Provost of Grantown-on-Spey.
The site of the old Drapery shop in Grantown High Street is now occupied by a Indian Resturant.
