Glass in Kinross Info 1b, children Close info Window


The children of William Glass and Jean Whyte are confirmed as part of some research done in 1922 for
Dr. J.Mackie White (son of Rev. John Whyte, the brother of Jean Glass)
of 15 Airlie Place, Dundee
Although this does show some of the children in a different order to the evidence of ages from Census returns.
The purpose of this research is not yet clear however a family chart accompanied the following Letter from:-

Alexander Anderson Solicior and N.P.
Bank Buildings, Falkland, Fife
29 may 1922

Dear Sir,
I have recieve your letter of the 26th inst. with mandate duly signed and attested.
I Went to Kinross on thursday last for the porpose of getting information for the proof in the proposed service, I found Mr. Wylie's place of business closed but will get him to complete the evidence as far as possible when it is required.
Meantime I send for your information copy of the family tree with the information collected by me noted thereon.
The most of the information about the Whyte family I got from yourself, And I was able to check certain items from the tomb stones in Kinross Churchyard.
Kindly look over the enclosed copy, and if you find and alterations are necessary I shall be obliged by you letting me hear from you as soon as possible.
