Robert Phipps Dod 18//-1865 only son of
Charles Roger Dod(d) 1793-1855, and Jane eliza (dau of John Baldwin of Cork).
Robert was educated at Kings College, London,
Entered the 54th Shropshire regiment of militia, and served as captain
in that regiment from 26 jan 1855 untill his death.
He assisted his father in the compilation of "The Parliamentry Companion"
and "the Pearage Baronetage and Knightage" and took the chief part in
the managment of these works after 1843.
"Birth and Worth", an enquiry into the Practical use of a Pedegree
was printed by him in 1849 for presentation to his family.
