Gainsby Hall was originally bought by miss Elizabeth Borrell circa 1804/5
Inherited by Eliza charlotte Borrell in 1826 who the next year married William Haigh
Subsequent members of the Haigh Family consolidated the Grainsby estates with surrounding lands.
