Warning

Much of this tree has been extrapolated back from Thomas born 1811 and Sarah born 1808.
At present there are several marriages not found in IGi and Spouces have been infered from probable matching census records!

The Christenings of Edward and Martha's children, in Charlesworth, show them living at New York a small terrace of houses at the northern end of Long Lane just before it crosses the river into Broadbottom. it seems likely that Edward was manager in one of the several nearby Cotton Mills.

although later christening are in Tivot Dale and then New Mills is clear the family were still residing near Broadbottom.
