OBITUARY, MB. JOHN HASTY The death of Mr. John Hasty, aged 77 years, of Canley Road, Canley Vale, occurred on Saturday, February 8. The late gentleman, who came from New Zealand and had resided in Canley Vale about six years, passed away in the Masonic Hospital, Ashfleld. He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Helen Hasty and two sons, John (Ashfleld) and George (Dover Heights). The deceased, who was held in high esteem by many friends, had been prominent in Freemasonry circles in New Zealand, having gained high degrees in the order. Cremation took place at Rookwood on Monday, February 10. |
