PRESENTATION TO MR J. IORNS. {Special to Examiner.) Masterton, This Day. Joseph Iorns, auctioneer, of Pahiatua, was presented by his Masterton friends last night, with a handsome address, gold watch and solid silver hammer. The address was a most elaborate work of art, and bore 180 names. Mr Hogg, M.H.R., made the presentation in the presence of a representative assemblage of settlers. |

Mr. W. A. Iorns, has cancelled the plans for his contemplated trip to the East this winter. Mr. Iorns, who was recently in England, has an intimate knowledge of the marketing proposals for New Zealand produce from the London end, and in view of this fact it has been considered inadvisable for him to leave the Dominion at present. Auckland Star 10th July 1934 MR. IORNS ILL. DAIRY BOARD'S CHAIRMAN. ANNUAL MEETING TO-MORROW. (By Telegraph, Press Association.) HAMILTON, this day. Mr. W. E. Iorns, chairman of the Dairy Board and a member of the Dairy Commission, which is now sitting in Hamilton, is ill in a private hospital in Hamilton. It is expected that it will he a fortnight before he will be able to resume his duties. It is understood that although Mr. lorns will not be present at the annual meeting of the Dairy Board to-morrow, he has offered himself fo r re-election as chairman of the board.
