BUNG BONG PLOUGHIUNG MATCH.
The annual ploughing match of the Bung Bong Farmer's Club took place on Friday last at Mrs James Scott's farm, Wareek, and the event may be counted amongst the best successses achieved by the society, The weather, although cold, was fine, and this induced a number of residents residents from neighboring townships to visit the ground, and although the competition may not be re garded as quite so exciting as some of the open-air sports iu which Britons indulge, it is neverthless found interesting, especially to those who understand the several essen tials of good ploughing. WAREEK, or at least one particular portion of that parish, was on 22nd April, the scene of a laudable manifestation of a kindley spirit towards an unfortunate neighbor and fellow agriculturist. Mt James Scott, of that locality, lately met with a very severe accident in Maryboroough, incapacitating him from preforming or Supervising the operations necessary for the cultivation of his farm, and with a view of assisting him in this period of difficulty, the resident farmers turned out and ploughed thirty five acres of his ground.
