on October 27th at the residence of the Bride’s parents by the Rev. D. J. Albert, Ernest Alison second son of the Hon. E. W. Alison M.L.C. and Mrs. Alison of Lochaber, Takapuna; to Freda, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clem. Bartley of Chetwyn, Takapuna.

The death has occurred of Mr. Ernest Alison, a well-known owner and breeder of racehorses. The son of Mr. E. W. Alison, Mr Ernest Alison received his education at the Devonport District School, the Auckland Grammar School, and Queen's College. With his brother, Mr. Ewen Alison, he founded the legal firm of Alison & Alison. Owing to ill health, he retired from business about 30 years ago. He was for many years a member of the committee of the Takapuna Jockey Club and he took a keen interest in horse racing. Mr. Alison is survived by his wife and one daughter.
