SIMSON. — On the 21st instant, at the residence of her sons, Taungutara, near Opunake,
Flora, the beloved wife of Mr Thomas R. Simson.
She was second daughter of Mr Hugh Cameron, of Kaiwarra, Wellington, who has long preceded her to the grave.
The family arrived in Wellington in 1840 and she has passed away at the age of 66 years.

SIMSON - At Wanganui Hospital on Sunday 1st September, Thomas Simson aged 88 years

Thomas Ritchie Simson died in 1907 aged 88, at Wanganui Hospital. The Wanganui Herald of 3 September 1907 carried the Death Notice: “Simson – At the Wanganui Hospital, on Sunday, 1st September, Thomas Simson, aged 88 years.”.
